Blog Post Title One

“I love getting my books in the mailbox. Books are so special and I love them!”

— Jorgia, Age 4

Blog Post Title Four

“Our kids have LOVED receiving their books from The Imagination Library. The themes present in the selected titles often seem to replicate the stages of life we experience as a family. From expecting a new sibling to celebrating birthdays, to exploring nature and managing tough emotions, we have found these books to be so helpful in parenting. The gift of literacy is something we value immensely. We are so grateful to Dolly Parton and our local Imagination Library staff for helping us to build our home library.”

Blog Post Title Two

“I love that each month we get to add a new book to her bookshelf; some classics and some we have never seen before! I especially love that some months when she gets her book out of the mailbox she sees characters that look like her, and that other children in our community are seeing characters that look like her and seeing all of the amazing things Black children can be! We are so thankful for Imagination Library and all of the things it brings to our home and our community!”

I began volunteering with ILJC because it is unlike any other organization for which I've volunteered: it is not income-based which means every family has equal access to free books. My love for this organization continues as I see just how happy parents and children are each month when they receive their books--it's a magical thing to get books into these young hands and to see how they grow with the program!

I support DPIL because it’s so important for young children to be exposed to age appropriate books that allow them to bond with loved ones, develop a love for reading and to better prepare them for school.

I choose to volunteer with ILJC to help increase access to books for children in our community. A child’s access to books will help improve literacy, which has positive impacts on personal and community prosperity.
